Basking Lamp

Basking Lamp is sold for education, entertainment and animal use only.  It is not designed to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease.  According to the FDA, the UV light produced by the basking lamp may be harmful to human skin or eyesight.

Basking Lamp measures 26x14x2-1/2 inches and has over 900 LEDs. It operates in two modes: 1) Nighttime Woodfire (NIR/Amber), and 2) Daytime Forest (UV/Green/Red/NIR).

Nighttime Firelight  970 nm, 810 nm, 670 nm, and 590nm.

• 970 nm targets intra- and extracellural water in the skin to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, protect against and heal from sunburn https://awsum.box.com/s/b9zwh4ww5oy0729rhl335yevfu83o79a

• 810 nm (invisible NIR) targets cytochrome C oxidase (CcO) enzyme in the mitochondria to produce ATP https://awsum.box.com/s/199457fbsnx1a6xrdwu45zhwjrrujpxa

• 770 nm (red/NIR) targets deoxyhemoglobin Hb+ to improve blood flow https://awsum.box.com/s/zsnhdjbbb4gxkuxvza776bsstl81rphs

• 590 nm (visible amber) shrinks subcutaneous fat cells https://awsum.box.com/s/46xqdtjq8zc06py5r5p231va317mkl0h, restores skin elasticity, and lets the user know that the NIR lights are on. The Amber always comes on when the red/NIR are on, providing a visual awareness.

Daytime Forest (UV/Green) mode adds 310 nm 355 nm 380 nm 540 nm 730 nm

• UVB 310 nm (invisible UV) is the optimal wavelength for synthesizing pre-Vitamin D at minimal risk of sunburn https://awsum.box.com/v/Neville2011-UVBoptimum

• UVA 355 nm (invisible UV) is the peak absorbance for NO release, promoting vasodilation.  It is ideal for recovery from ice bath, lowers blood pressure and improves circulation https://awsum.box.com/s/sfbh4jsoweicgep0r2duol2tito3nb7i

• 380 nm (violet) targets OPN5

• 540 nm (visible green) is the peak visible wavelength in the shady forest. It relieves pain, promotes relaxation, heals skin, helps clear the complexion, and indicates that the UVA & UVB invisible lights are on.

• 730 nm (red/NIR) is the dominant wavelength in the shady forest.  https://awsum.box.com/v/Endler1993-ForestLight. 730 nm (red/NIR) targets melanin in the dermis to stimulate dormant hair follicles, speed wound healing, reduce wrinkles, and signal senescence in cancer cells
